I have been a busy busy bee here in the UWSA office talking pub, welcome week, and my favourite, the UWSA Coming Home Festival! I assure you Lancers, you are going to be blown away with the artists we are currently working on bringing in. In case you're wondering what I do day to day for planning, there are countless calls, emails, meetings, pitches, and brainstorming sessions that go into each hour of the day to make this the most fantastic Frosh Week and musical festival you're ever been to.
I've been working really hard with Josh Paglione to think of really creative and innovative things that we students are going to go crazy for during our first week back to school. I'd actually love to hear any kind of feedback you might have! We ordered some pretty cool swag recently that we're waiting on, but what are some other ideas you have for swag? Like, what kind of swag could we have that would absolutely blow you away and you would just NEED to have (within reason, of course). Actually no, tell me what you would want even beyond what may be reasonable! I have a board that I keep in my office and write quotes on each day, and most consistently it says Think BigGER.
Anyway, we're going to be attending the Alumni Golf Tournament this weekend in Toronto. Might I add, I HATE GOLF. I hate golf so much there's actually nothing I hate more. This one's for you, Lancers! (I'm going so that I can be sure to develop useful connections in planning the most extravagant and exciting Frosh Week and music festival this city has ever seen!)
